Introduction:
This is a highly successful department with 80% pass rate at GCSE and a 100% pass rate at A Level in 2008. We offer a range of GCSE and A Level courses covering painting and drawing, photography, art graphics and 3D. There is also a very successful Advanced Vocational A Level Applied Art and Design course on offer. Without doubt all students benefit from coming in contact with a teaching team with varied backgrounds and covering a very wide range of expertise. Student work is prominently displayed throughout the campus and helps to create an aesthetically stimulating environment for the whole College community.
Facilities and Resources:
All courses have specialist teaching bases stocked with the relevant equipment. Art studios are equipped with Photoshop facilities and digital imaging equipment. We also have an IT suite of 15 PCs 3 Apple Macs, a printer and a colour scanner. Other Art rooms have access to a trolley of lap tops.
